I have been so busy holding down my family and creating a business, I haven't had time to sit down and journal like I use too. So I thought It would be a good idea to share my journal with the world. I sit in front of the computer more often then I sit in front of my notebook so it seems to be a good idea to just do it this way.
Let me share my story.
Back in March or April I was talking to my best friend about starting a Women's Group. I worked on the guidelines and how the meetings would be structured. I even had an idea of the women I wanted to invite. The only thing I didn't have was a place to hold the meetings. I spoke to my friend about finding a place. She suggested we have them at nutrition club she has been attending for the past year. I heard the magic work "FREE" and I said, sounds good to me.
About two weeks later I went to the club to see if this is a place I would want to have my meetings. I must tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the place inviting, bright, and comfortable, but the owner was just a sweet loving woman.
I sat and spoke with her about the women's group and what I wanted to do. She loved my idea so much she wanted to join the group. I was so excited.
I was so curious about what this club and what it was all about, so I had to ask her. She explained to me that the club was a place where people in the community could come and get support with the health and come have health meals. Rather they wanted to lose weight, gain weight, or just get healthier.
I was over weight and wanted to know more. She told me about Herablife and how she lost over 90 pounds. She told me the feeling of doing something more with her life by helping so many other people get healthy. I loved the idea of helping others and thought this might be something I wanted to do.
On June 1, 2011 I went into the club and told her I wanted to be a distributor. The great thing about becoming a distributor was it came with everything I need to get started on my own weight loss journey, along with the ability to sell the products if I wanted to.
After the first week, I knew that I too had to open up my own nutrition club. I felt amazing. I had great energy, the shakes were delicious, and they kept me full. A few days later I was at work on my lunch break thinking that I had to call my sponsor to ask her a question about having a club. I was about to cross the street and there she was, standing right in front of me. For me that was a sign that having my own club was just what i needed to do.
I started looking for a place to have my own club. There was so many stumbling blocks along the way, but they always just moved out of the way and things would work out great. Every step if the way there were moments when I questioned if I was doing the right thing, and then it would work it's self out and show me I was on the right path.
July 31, 2011 was the Grand Opening of W.G. Wellness. I couldn't believe that I was a business owner. I couldn't believe that I was on the path to change lives like my sponsor did for me.
So here I am almost 4 months later, I have lost 25 pounds, I have been in business for almost 2 months, and I am the happiest women in the world. Of course it's a new business and there are days when the club is super slow and only one person comes in for our Herbalife meal of Aloe, Tea, Shake for $4.
This past weekend I had a "New York" shake party. I was so blessed to get 3 new clients.
This blog will be my personal journey on how I'm doing on my personal health journey as well as how my business will grow from the ground up. I would love to have you take this journey with me. To learn from my mistakes, to give me advice, and to allow me to help you become a healthier person.
I would love to do for someone what my sponsor did for me... that could be you. Hey, You Never Know!
